Not to mention how much flare will keep stuff off the hood and windshield. Especially sticking out 3". It's gonna keep a good majority under the truck

Anyway I know it's not going to solve the problem but I think flares will help. I guess I'll find out once I put them on.

The fabtech pushed the wheels out more than the Rancho??
If so, that explains a lot!

Pretty sure that 3" = 2" on it kit, plus the recomended wheel offset of 1"/25mm

I don't know much about Rancho, but I did mis-speak about the Fabtech. The older ones move everything out 1.5" on each side (3" total, not each side). I had a cracked spacer that goes between the front diff and the front axles, Fabtech sent me 3, 1/2" spacers to use because they don't make the 1.5" spacer anymore because the newer kits only push out 1/2". Of course wheel offsets and widths will also affect how far you tires stick out.

so i went and measured how far my wheels stick out past the fenders. the rear is 2" past the stock flare and the front is 3.5" past the stock flares. and the stock flares are what? 1.5" wide? and no one makes a 5" flare...and i dont think i would want that ayways. seems like too much. the street scene flares are 3.5" so im getting an extra 2" which will be enough in the rear but a bit short in the front.the E&G flares are 4" wide so 2.5" more.....hmmm. and i really liek the idea of not having to drill into the hood for the E&G flares.
this is the front...

hard to read the ruler, its a bit old.

Me personally, I'd rather have ones that physically bolt on (like the E&Gs) as opposed to stick on with 3M tape. That said, I do like the look of the Street Scenes better though.

arent the stock ones stick on atthe top and bolt on at the bottom? i imagine that the larger the flare, like the E&G , they would have ot be bolted on due to wind, but i dont really have an issue with the stick onones like street scene. they still bolt on the inside of the fenders.
good thing is, summit racing has them in stock and their about 25 minutes away. they price match. i have gift cards and summit points!

I'm pretty sure that my stock ones didn't have any tape on them. Dunno...you're prolly right though, the E&Gs are so damn big they need something.

Ah. I see. Well I talked to summit and after the price matching their 400 out the door. Not to bad. Plus I got about 50 in gift cards and summit bucks. So I'll be getting them for 350 instead of the e&g 650 ones.

Just thought id add my comment. after putting on xd cranks with a big offset my tyres stuck out about 3 or 4 inches so went with the e and g flares. took a few hours to bolt on but well worth it. was worried they wouldnt cover the tyres as out laws say tyres must be. but all good now. i see some comments on cost but man try getting them couriered off shore ive paid double probably than in the states. but the joy off owning and driving a h2 is worth it.
