After a few hours in 4L lock last weekend (the SA Devil's Den run) I was experiencing transmission slip in drive after going back to 4H(seemed to slip shifting 3 to 4), by manually selecting 3 it would catch again (of course RPMs up around 3.5k at highway speeds). After about 20 minutes on the highway the transmission operated normally again and has not acted up since. Anyone experience this or something similar. 31k on the odometer by the way - still under warranty. I'm just concerned that the dealer will give me a "could not duplicate fault" when I take it in.

Lots of people have experienced that, it's called your trans needs to be rebuilt. Take it to your dealer and tell them specificly what you felt it do. If they give you crap, then bring it down here to Dallas and we'll rebuild it.

Yeah, I knew the 03 xmns were crap, I guess I didn't state the question plainly enough. Does the slipping occur more commonly after extended periods in 4L? I'd like to give the dealer an opportunity to duplicate the problem.

Have they changed anything, or should I worry that in time mine will do the same?
