Question TPM reprogram issue -- Parking brake?

Ok....I am baffled. I am trying to reprogram my TPM system. I have been getting the SERV TPM warning coming on continually on the DIC. This issue started after doing a tire switchover on the stock rims. The problem is I cannot activate the repogram procedure. I have followed the instructions in the manual, but I cannot get the reprogram to start. (The manual says I should hear to horn beeps and confirmation the the DIC.) After going nuts for an hour, I finally called my dealer. He said to make sure the vehicle has the parking brake engaged or the reprogram will not work. (which i did). I went back out and tried again and this time i noticed that when i engage the parking brake i am not getting any confirmation of this on the DIC. Shouldn't it say "Parking Brake" on the display? Yes i have checked to make sure the parking brake is all the way down. Could this be not letting me activate the repogram functions? Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this??

Thanks

I always use the tool, and I always use the E brake (old habit), so I can't help.

What would cause the ebrake to not show up on the dic? Do you think that the car (or computer) is not recognizing the ebrake being engaged and therefore i cannot start the tpm reprogram procedure?

I would first check the switch that would normaly be on the upper brake lever. On the H3 I have no idea how they did it. I'm too new to it.

Does the brake light come on when you turn the ignition on? This would at least rule out a broken bulb.

Good idea, run the bulb check at start up, and then look at the switch.
