I have a few Questions
Thanks to the help of Suns Fan I just installed a OEM touch screen navigation unit. Now that I know it works I'm interested in installing a back up camera, since we all know about the poor back up visibility that came with our H3. Does anyone know how to integrate one with a factory unit besides a Pac adapter b/c they are soo damn expensive. My next question is I saw a post a long time ago about installing shock sensors to a factory alarm. I was wondering if anyone has info/part numbers/diagrams on how to install either of these two things?

Re: I have a few Questions
Yea I spent the $1100 on the Hitchcam installation before investing in wasted body repairs. Seemed to make more sense.

Re: I have a few Questions
Hitchcam takes a couple of minutes to unlock, unplug, and remove. Removal strongly advised prior to wheelin.

Re: I have a few Questions
Steve , what hitch cam did you get and where did you purchase it? I am looking for one but really have no ideas about what type to but I am convinced the hitch cam is the way to go. The ones I have seen looked ****ty mounted in the cab too. You have any pics?

Re: I have a few Questions
SO - Best place to look at Hitchcam is at the dealer. They install them on both H2 and H3's with and without nav (w/o nav you get the 3.5" monitor). Dealer likes them because of easy installation (plug and play) and of course the good profit margins.
My rear H3 pics are not close enough to be useful. Best pics of the Hitchcam pieces/unit are on the G-Style website.
Hope that helps.

Re: I have a few Questions
The dealer told me that over time, water/condensation can/will get into the camera on the hitchcam. He said he has seen 2's come in with that problem. He recommended the cam above the rear license plate. Still deciding on where to put mine. Did any of you see the new slide out mirror (slides out automatically to the right of the rearview mirror) that shows your rear view (cam in hitch) when you go into reverse? I saw it on the Spec. Edition Fusion Orange H2. I'm trying to find out if I can get that in the 3.

Still no one has a solution to my original post? (integrating a cam to a stock nav unit w/o using a Pac adapter)
