Ok, here's what I was given on the interior upgrade:

Done in house, parts from a dealer, which came from AM General: $33,000.

Said it was rather complicated, some in regards to the ECM?

Someone is selling an 80-90% interior package for $6,000.

That's some good footwork. $33K is out of the question, but $6K is a bit more realistic, even if it is not a complete kit. Do you know if there are pictures of this kit, even not installed?

I believe it is the pieces directly out of an 04. Apparently someone with connections to AM General. I'll PM you.

think long and hard first...
6k may still be cost prohibitive.
80-90% is vague, for one thing.
how much is labor?
granted u probably just want the dash, consoles, stuff like that. ur not talking rugs and everything are u? seats?
im assuming no.
but say that 6k with labor turns to 7.5k for a "kinda 04" interior, how much more would it be to just upgrade to an 04 truck?

I would be doing labour myself. I was given the contact information for this person and he is legit, but halfway accross the continent. I won't be going there to have it installed.

Well, now that I've got an H1 to work with, this project is on my mind again. I'm going to attempt to create a new interior if I have enough interest.

i recently picked up my h1 also....very clean, low mileage (4700mi at time of purchase)
i too prefer the 04 interior.
let me know what u find out/come up with...33k is WAY out of the question of course, but maybe 6k and some labor?? maybe.
i wouldnt sell my truck unless it was to get an 06.

thanks
