Got everything installed today, including an "IPOD", I dare any Monsoon system to even try to get close to the sound. Crystal clear and when the bass is cranked up, it's like your being assulted, LOL!!! The IPOD can be integrated using a relay and an on/off switch to the XM band............ RCA jacks out and the Monster RCA to mini and it sounds better that CD's from the unit itself..............

Default Re: Speakers in Base Model

Have any of you initially started with replacing the speakers in the Monsoon system? Any improvements or just a waste of money (and proceed with a full upgrade as you volume/quality needs increase)?

This is a bit off the original topic of speakers, but I was wondering if any of you have installed an iPod unit to the Monsoon system? Crutchfield has a few that are stated as working with factory head units from GM.
