Default bonnet(hood) problems

As I opened the bonnet(hood) this morning and as it went over i heard i snaping sound as the bonnet(hood) carried on falling forward looking down i noticed that the two things/cables that stop it from falling forward had snapped
I have looked all over EBAY and sent emails to a load of dealers in the U.S.A but have not recived anything back
so i was wondering does anyone on here know there proper name(the two cables that is)and were i may be able to get a set as i do not know there proper title im not sure the dealers know what i am on about

so any help from the U.S.A,CANADA or even BELGIUM would be very helpful
i have tried diffrent ways to try and copy what the cables do but i must say i am not very good with my hands

anyone help cheers

I'm on my second pair of cables. I noticed the original pair had a black cover over each cable but the replacements did not. I wonder if the replacement is stronger than the original? Just a thought So far so good on the second pair...

Bauer Millet (Manchester) can probably get it for you but with their usual mark-up.

Another option is a USA junk yard. They would be cheapest, and maybe able to ship to you. All the shipping companies such as FedEx, UPS, and USPS (United States Postal Service) can ship overseas. Of course, you need to find that parts company willing to go the extra mile.

There are these mailing forwarding companies. They receive the US-only based mail and then forward it on to you. Here is an example of one http://www.myus.com/about/.

If you are still having problems, send me a private message. Let me know how big the parts are. I might be able to find someone to assist.

Fully understand that one. I heard he wanted like $70,000 for just a stock H3. I heard they were going to get some more dealerships in England. Any truth there?

The black rubber covers are not a good idea as they allow moisture to be trapped inside which rusted out the cables quicker.
