So, how do I turn 'em on? Can't seem to find any specific information in the manual that works...?

Which roof lights are you talking about?
The offroad lights or the Marker lights?
The marker lights should turn on when your headlights turn on, if they are the offroad lights there should be a switch for them!

The marker lights - the red ones at the back and the amber ones at the front.
If it's the case that they are supposed to come on when you turn on the headlights, I guess they must have had to be disabled for the UK as they don't come on.
We have some weird laws over here...

did they get working, i am curious to see if the lights which are required in the us, are actually disabled in europe, which it seems has some more stringent laws, such as the lower bumpers etc....

Well I would think there is an electrical problem somewhere. How can you find out if they were disconnected prior to your ownership? I would call the motor vehicle services and ask them if this is a requirement.

It depends on how they have been set up. They should come on with the headlights/DLR's - mine do.
There is no legislation in the UK to prevent the use of marker lights - it just depends on who did the modifications to the lighting system to get it through SVA test and whether they knew what they were doing..or not!...sounds like the latter!
The official importers (Bauer Millett Manchester) set theirs up so:
Side lights on = All Marker Lights, Tail Lights & DLR's on
Headights/Auto = All of the above plus headlights

Whoa! UK Hummer guys! Finally someone in the same country as me!
So where are you guys? Are there any Hummer or american car clubs I can join in the UK? I've been a member of Corvette clubs and the like, but the Hummer scene is much smaller than the 'Vette scene?

Dragon,
Not aware of any Hummer clubs - but that may change as more start to come in? You're right the Hummer scene is much smaller (newer?) than the 'vette scene (which has been around since the 70's - I remember my driving instuctor was a 'vette club member)
I'm in the North East, there are about 5 in this region, and I am aware of H2's (and a couple of H1's) dotted all over the country - the most dense areas though are London and Manchester (not suprisingly!)

Hey Darren,
I'm from the North East originally (from Middlesbrough), but now I live in London. Where are you from?
