Default HU*M*R

I bought (actually the kids did as part of my Christmas present) a set of bright HUMMER letter inserts for my bumper, cleaned the bumper, prep-ed it with the 3 M tube of stuff, and put them on. Looked great. Except three days later the E and the R have fallen off... is there something everyone else has done to keep them on? The E is gone, no idea where it fell off, the R fell off in my garage. Possibly from the warm to cold to warm changes? I am at a loss but it is the only bling I have on my H3 so I would like to keep them.

I installed the inserts on the bumper last year and had no problems.

I have had mine on for more than a year now both on the front bumper and the roof rails. Was the temperature of the bumper at warm about 60 F? They won't stick if the surface is cold.

I put them on after it sat in the garage over night, it was easily 65-or 70 with the sun shining in... curses...

Sorry to hear about your bling. I installed my letters several months ago. No problems. Could you have inadvertantly handled the adhesive portion with your fingers? Also, in order for that adhesive to form a strong bond, you need to apply a good amount of pressure to each letter for at least 30 seconds.

I covered mine with Line-X. They're still there.

I dropped an email to Jason, he has already taken care of me, that is great service and why I get my stuff from him (and of course to support this forum)
