Can I hook up a electronic brake controller to a 2003 H2 without going thru the whole fog light wiring and roof rack wiring problem and all that?

The whole problem was getting a hot connection to the controller once the harness was plugged in. I had the dealer install mine and they ran a hot lead from the battery to the controller. We placed the controller on the right side under the dash so it wouldn't hit knees or big snow boots. I'm pretty tall, and so far haven't kicked it once.

Dealer installed mine. He had to move the fog lights to a different hot. Then plugged the controller into the harness. Mounted the controller also on the right side. No problems with knee either and I have long legs for a 6' guy. (the hummer is the only vehicle I can drive without having the seat moved all the way back.)

Hope that helps.
