I'm sure that it would be very capable off-road, and probably last forever without maintenance problems, being a Toyota, but MAN, is it butt-ugly. I can see where they tried to make it look somewhat-similar to the H1, but at least the H1 has rugged good looks, its just a 'tough' looking vehicle. But this one is just ugly and plain. Might as well drive a Unimog.

They should call it the fuglycrusier.

Oh well, you know what they say, immitation is the sheerest form of flattery...

OH Yea!

I miss my FJ60. It was as cool (cooler in someways) than my H2. What an awesome rig it was. Alas it was @ the end of it's life and became unreliable.

There are a couple of places in the US that do ground up restorations of Land Crushers. One is Cool Cruisers in Texas, the other is somebody in Chatsworth CA.

Try searching the office that tracks trade marks and find out who owns the rights to the name, mega crusier.

The funny thing about the mega crusier was its towing cap.

The Japanese are such plagiarists. If they ever came up with a design of their own I'd be amazed.

What little I know, the Japanese and their culture do not believe they are good R and D or engineers. They have believed that they can re-engineer almost anything and make it better. I would have to agree.
