Hi there, since now the H2 comes with the Rear Spare Tire Carrier standard, do you guys know of any way to secure the tire against theft?

Anyone can just pull open the carrier and just undo one butterfly type nut and that's it, tire is gone!

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Not sure if anyone would want the license holder that bad, as far as wheel concern.... wheel lock would do the trick

why would anyone want to take one full size spare tire anyway... find 3 more and make a set?

I would be more concern about someone stealing those U steps

You would be surprised what people will steal. Only need one to put it on Ebay and make a few bucks.

I bought Gorilla brand locking lug nuts -- -- 4 for the tires on the ground and another for the spare. The spare required a longer shaft nut. They are sold in sets of so you'll wind up with three extras of the long shaft nut.

I would steer away from those Gorilla wheel lock, most of them get rusted out after awhile and you will be force to break them off

Do you just get a longer wheel lock nut, or a longer gm stud?
