In the last day or so I'm experiencing the condition that the doors unlock during moderate braking. Any ideas on what's causing it? I'm guessing there's a sensor to detect severe deceleration (i.e. a crash) which would unlock the doors so folks aren't trapped.

I have been just setting the preferences on mine where you can set the doors to unlock when in park, if the key is removed, etc. Sounds like that sensor/system is not working right, as braking shouldn't be a trigger for unlocking the doors. First try resetting your prefrences and if that doesn't work I'd bring it in.

Here is the fix.
DO THIS IN ORDER!!

Apply Brake and hold.
Make sure all doors are closed.
Turn Key to acessory posistion.
Turn on engine.
Place gear shift in drive.
Take back out of drive palce in park.
Cycle key on and off three times.
Stop in off posistion.
Open driver door.
Take key out.
Lock door.
That should fix it.
If it does not add step at the begining of disconnecting and reconnecting positive battery cable.
