They aren’t pushing me to take the truck (not too hard anyway) and they are completely acknowledging the mistake. But other than ordering a new one there is not much they can do. Other than that they have been pretty straight up with me.

Oh wait I almost forgot. This is kind of pissing me off. If I reorder the truck I have to pay the new GM pricing since it will be a new factory order. This will run about $600 or so more. Sunroof went from $800 to $950 Trailering package went from $270 to $350 also the Lux and Off-road also went up but I'm not sure by how much.

I have a GMID number so its not like I’m paying list but still I don’t see why I should have to pay more because they (GM, Dealer, who knows) screwed up.

That my friend...is CRAP. I'm glad yo are holding it together though, I wouldn't be able to.
IMHO, he should honor the pricing on what you ordered. Based solely on the fact you did not receive what you ordered.

I don't think making a complaint with Hummer about your dealer would be whining in your case, I mean thats pretty rediculous! I ordered mine 3 days after you Upgraded. You should have had yours long before now.

At the very least they should honor the price before the increase on a new order. I would be mad as hell and I'd let them know it. It sucks but people are more likely to make things right once you start getting pissed as long as your reasonable.

FWIW, my next HUMMER (and oh yes there will be a next), will be bought out of NY and probably at Lynch Hummer or Sewell. I hear nothing but positives about those dealers and if my experience with Lynch's parts dept. is any indication, it will definitely be the right choice. Call'em -- choose from their large selection, fly out and then drive it home.

One of the reasons I bought local was for the "after purchase service". I thought maybe they would treat me ...well...like I bougth a $35k truck from them. Not the case. So, next time, they won't get my business.

I'm glad you decided to wait! I know wou will be also. That wait time seems long though. Our first H3 took only about 7 weeks. We just ordered one ffor me 2 weeks ago (the dealer placecd the order last Wed though) and he said I will have it the last week of Nov.

Ok so here is the down low on my H3 dilemma so far.

Aug 19th, Ordered. 5 Spd, Adventure Package, Sunroof, MP3/Moonsoon, etc...

Got a Build date Sept 21.

Build Date pushed back to Oct 17th due to allocation of Sunroofs to Lux based H3 first

Sept 13th, Changed order to Included Lux Package and Home Link. Current Build now, 5Spd, Lux, Off-Road, Sunroof, etc...

No change in build date due to the addition of the Lux package (or so I Thought)

Called yesterday Build date was bumped up to Sept 30th

Car is on route to dealership and received a copy of the build sheet yesterday via email.

Build sheet does not list the Off-road package

Dealer say's they can put the five 33" on for cost $750

Define Irony. The only package I really wanted from the start was the off-road package, which is now the only thing missing

So what would you do

Take it this week as is with the added 33" tires (no E-Locker's though) (the 33" are a non-negotiable issue)

OR

Start the whole order process over again to get what I want and possibly have it by mid November. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Punt , just kidding if you have been waiting this long whats a little longer for what you want. You will kick yourself in arss if you settle.Sorry to hear your dilemma dude.I was going nuts just waiting 5 weeks for mine, cant even imagine your pain. The only thing I would say is maybe give up on the 5 spd and get Auto with locker.Much better for off roading in my Opinion.

The 5spd has a better crawl ratio.

Don't settle, you'll regret it especially the locker. I prefer the auto for offroading--less chance of stalling and changing gears constantly is a pain. But get it how you want it and enjoy.

Birch white, Adventure, auto, no chrome, comming soon Gobi rack.

My dealer (Hummer by Karl in New Canaan, CT) just got this in:

Slate Blue Metalic
Ebony Leather Interior
5-Speed
Lux Pkg
Off-Road Suspension
Sunroof

Black sidesteps, trailer hitch and rubber cargo mat can be added.

So, only diff is color. If you really want boulder grey color, they will locate.

Lemme know if you can live with slate blue ...

If you get the truck without the adventure package and the dealer or you install 33s you will still not have: 4.1:1, E-locker, 4.56:1 axles. I wouldn't do it. Even if you end up paying hundreds more you will eventually get over it, you will NOT get over the lack of off road performance.

Man I thought this topic would have died a while ago.

Just to keep you up to date. When my truck arrived last week there was another Boulder Grey 5spd on the carrier with it. “Strange” says my dealer since they never order 5spds unless specifically for a customer.

Upon closer inspection it had the exact specs as the H3 I ordered but missing the Lux package.

So it would seem that somewhere along the line my Boulder Grey, Lux, Off-Road, Sunroof etc, got broken up into to vehicles. Both equipped the same except one is a Lux package and the other is an Adventure package.

I’m going to go with the Adventure since I have leather in my TT and I really don’t like it.

Thanks all.

Gathering can be informal owner get-togethers, or sponsored/organized by your local dealer. Usually involves some off-roading along with various related lessons (like recovery techniques) depending upon the event organizer.
