Possible buying an H3: Need Help

My Fiance and I are looking at a Black 06 H3. Its got 16,500 miles. Luxury Package, Chrome Package. She went and test drove it and loves it. I was working and I didnt get to go look. I'm going to check it out Saturday and I was hoping for some help. Is there anything specifically I should be looking for? I've read about the head valve issue's with 06's and this one has not had the problem yet. If we do buy it, were going to be getting an extended warranty that'll cover the H3 (bumper to bumper) till 75,000 miles. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
