After reading a recent post on this issue, I noticed the same condition on my 03 H2. There was an thin/slightly damp oil spread out from the output shaft seal and surrounding area.

Made appointment Monday a.m the 29th to fix/replace (1) oil leak/seal (2) Driver side pillar vibration (3) Recall on replacing the ignition switch. (4) SERVICE 4WD Indication.

Almost three days later they (1) Replaced Transfer Case Shift Module (this was the fix for the SERVICE 4WD Indicator) (2) They forgot to fix/service pillar vibration (3) Forgot to replace recall issue-ignition switch replacement.

Most important (4) they said the leak was from the vent cover seal on the differential housing and replaced the O Ring on vent cover.

I personally checked this before and such a leak from this location would be sooo... obvious.

Now, I have a big leak from the Vent Cover Seal.

Questions:
(1) Has anyone else had such a difficult time getting good service from their Hummer Dealership?
(2) How do I get them to replace the output shaft seal?

Thanks again,
Troy

About a year ago I had the same non-service with the same dealership.

I called the National Hummer Customer Service last year and the dealership replied within a few days and bent over backwards for me.

I guess I will call them again.

I enjoy my H2, but the service sucks!

Bought a Infiniti FX with everything a few months ago and their sales and service has been outstanding.

Now if Infiniti would make a Hummer!

Best luck,
Troy
