Default Skid Plate Bolt Size?

Can anyone tell me the bolt size of the bolts that hold the skid plate on? The skid plate I'm referring to is the one that needs to be removed when changing the oil. I won't see my truck for a couple days, so I can't just go out and grab one to gauge it.

LOL, actually the oil change place already lost 3 of the 4 for me, and since I won't be back for a few days to give them hell about it, I'm just gonna get the bolts ordered (I sell nuts and bolts for a living) and do it myself for now. Plus.. I this I'll get nice shiny chrome ones, that nobody will know are there but me!

13 MM is the size.

There was a post about a year ago about how someones skid plate fell off and others had bolts missing - so maybe the oil folks didn't loose all of them.

But probably.

Thanks H3, can you point me in the direction of that post? I can't seem to find it. I need to know the thread pitch and length.

Thanks again!

Found it! It's an M8-1.25x30mm bolt. Just in case anyone wants chrome replacements... Here's the link of where to get them.

Just to throw my 2 cents in.

First time I changed my oil I discovered two of the skid plate bolts missing. Went to the autoparts store to get new ones, discovered the thread is metric but hex (on old ones) is SAE. What's up with that?

Swapped two on another part of the truck so I wouldn't need two different size sockets to remove the skid plates.

What a goofy thing.

No worries... it's been 3 years, and the joke still isn't old..... As a matter of fact, just today I had a woman call me, and I kid you not, this is exactly what she said to me:

"Hi, my name is Cindy, and I am in desparate need of a screw!"...
