Default performance anxiety

well the H2 goes in tomorrow for regear to a reputable offroad shop that deals primarily with Jeeps. so last night, the H2 decides to catch the powersteering return line on a clip on steering shaft and piss PS fluid everywhere.decent puddle of PS in front of a friends house! she held up until i got home and found the problem.

i noticed it catching when i turn every now and then, but always thought it was the something else binding. Every time it catched, guess it was slowly shredding the hose.....

guess what i am going today!!!!
tempted to buy a reman. PS pump since i will be messing around in there, and i have time right now thanks to 45 days of terminal leave from the military.

Default Re: performance anxiety

so about $45 dollars later..

new trans hose 5 ft and 3 qts of PS fluid and clamps.

was a pretty simple fix. replaced the hose going from PS pump to the hydroboost. routed the hose away from the steering shaft so no future issues.

took it to the car wash and hosed out the engin compartment a little and the under the front end..

i would give it a write up, but really is was too simple.

only thing i added to it was i flushed the PS pump while i was at it. well, i ran about 2 qts through. filled it up, turned the engin on and cranked the wheel left and right till the PS got low. did that a few times till it got boring, then just clamped the hose, filled the PS up and off i went.
