Default Front Hitch Extender & Pin Questions

Hi Everyone!
I am going on a fishing trip and want to attach a cooler rack (a rack that holders an Igloo or Coleman food/beverage cooler) to the front hitch. I just ordered the hitch extender (part #:12498329) but need the appropriate "vertical" pin to hold the extender in the receiver. Does anyone know of a good pin that also locks so nobody can steal the rack? Also, can the front hitch withstand the bouncing of a heavy cooler for during a 200 mile trip? I would imagine that it can since it has similar capacity to that of a standard rear receiver. Thanks a million!

Im not sure of any pin that would keep the extender in place that locks but you may want to check and see if you can get a normal one in first. I modded a cargo rack like you are speaking of to as to align with the vertical pin and i will tell you the area the pin goes is TIGHT! Good luck.

That one will work on vertical & horizontal holes. Works with all hitches except solid steel hitches since this style lock needs hollow square tube in order for locking pin to protrude inside the tube.

Yep, I have that Bully lock on my winch on the front. Works great.
