Has anyone taken a look at Toyota's site for the upcoming 2006 FJ? I thought about waiting for it before ordering my H3...Have always loved my old landcruisers.
Picked up my H3 three weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it though!

I think the FJ is a sweet design and truck. It will be a good price and probably a hot seller. I won't complete with the H3 off road and when I heard Scion in the loop I was out.

Yuck!
What do you get when you cross a Jeep with an H3?
A "F"ucking "J"oke Cruiser.
It's ugly! I think it's a new Chevron car.
Let's see, what else could FJ stand for...
Fake Jeep
Female's Jeep
Funky Jalopee
Tonka Toy Gone Wild

Yes, cool design...very intersting interior.
I don't think it will compete w/ the H3 price-wise.
Base is supposed to be around $35k and you get alot less for the money.

Interesting interior alright...
That is horrid. I think Lego called and they want their building blocks back.

Good one!
But I think it would appeal to George Jetson types...

Won't compete with an H3?
I think you are exagerating.

An available locking rear differential and the standard 4.0-liter V-6, rated at 245 hp and 282 lb-ft of torque, also will aid in rock-crawling adventures.
</div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Also the pictures you are showing are the concept ones. They cleaned up the inside somewhat after that.
It comes from the factory with long travel coil overs in the rear and a supercharged engine.
It will also come with an optional rear locker.
I think if you add a Klune or an Atlas 2 to it, it will walk all over an H3 offroad.
Price is expected to be $25K - $30K.

WTF?! This looks like PLAYSKOL designed the interior. What comes out of the A/C vents, Playdough? I mean really I have'nt seen a cockpit like that since I rode Micheal Jacksons' Captian EO ride at Disneyland back in 1985! I think the japs have gone loco. The radio looks like the Barbies' magic oven that includes the 20 watt lightbulb to cook your mini cupcakes in. Let me guess, Instead of a DVD system for you passengers, Theres a LightBrite with all the colorful pegs to play with. (except you have to take the 20 watt bulb out of the radio/oven to put in the LightBrite to use it. ha ha ha Woot! Pee Wee Herman would be proud to give up his special bike to drive this lemon. Even better, Pee Wees' friend, Jombi the Genie could be the On Star and GPS Navigation.

Interesting, but it has a blind spot from the C-pillar that might require side ultrasonic sensors.
Probably be a good vehicle, but I personally do not like the styling, but that is subjective.

I've been tracking the new "FJ" and what I've seen has eliminated it from my consideration. Its another odd-looking bit of Toyota design from people who spend too much time watching cartoons. The last article I read said that it "might even have some offroad capability". I was hoping for a modern redesign of the heroic old FJ, but it looks like its simply going to exploit its heritage.

Are those little Doors like on the RX8?
Its pretty goofy looking.
I do like the brushed metal bumpers. I think Hummer might have done well to offer a Brushed package as well as the chrome package.
Chrome IMHO is a little too Bling for me.

Surferjo...I agree..The one thing I've hated on the look of the H2 and H3 is the chrome grill. Thinking about getting the black powder coat I've seen a few owners do on this site.

I wonder how it would look bead blasted? Would it rust in time? My Buddy beadblasted flames into his pipes on his motorcycle and it looks really great.
The other option would be to get it ceramic coated. Thats not really a true "Brushed" Look.

Thanks for the link, Price is only someone's imagination right now, but lets keep in mind that this is a 2 DOOR! and with that interior (subjective or objective, concept or cleaned up, it is really ugly!). So it isn't even in the same ballpark as the H3, maybe with the Wrangler though.
