Default dead dash lights on my 08

Well took the new rig over to get the roof rails and nerf bars on today. Had them look at my dash lights that go OUT when the headlights come ON. Needs a new PCM. Will be in monday. Said thats the reason the locker doesnt signal that its engaged when it is engaged.

Figures I'd have to get the truck with the bad computer in it....argh

From a suspension view it seems tighter but thats likely just due to it being new.

Engine/drivetrain wise, the 6 speed tranny takes some getting used to. Coming up the hill to my house i am used to the 06 down shifting, but the new one doesnt. I've not tromped it down yet from a dead start, but it does seem to have more power than before. Seems like you get up to highway speed alot faster. The drivetrain is really smooth, dont feel the shifts as you did in the 06.

MPG...well its less than my 06 BUT I've not done any real highway driving with the rig yet. Its about a mile to my office so naturally until I get some highway miles on the rig, its going to show low MPG. I was averaging 11.7 on the 06 and I am at 11.5 on the new one with 400 miles on it. Most of those miles were from the dealer driving it in from another dealer. Was hard to find a Slate Blue.

Interior blows the old style away for fit and finish and quality of materials used. Yes I do miss the dash bewbies. My wife says she liked the ruggedness of the old interior better. She said it was a hummer interior. Gone are those annoying interior plastic on plastic squeaks. I've noted the steering wheel gets in the way viewing some of the gauges. I didnt note that in the 06.

Sound system is even better than in the 06. The surround sound is great. Just like being at a Buffett concert!!

Exhaust is alot louder than the 06. Sounds great!
