H3 Front Levelling Kit
I would like to invest in a front levelling kit for my H3 with the Off-Road package. Any suggestions or experiences?
Thx,
Chris

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
I'm having the Truxxx lift kit installed in two weeks. I let you know the starting height then the height after the lift kit is installed.

I did the torsion bolt adjustment months ago and it didn't get the front level with the back. I don't want to go beyond 2 1/2 turns.
I don't care about the cost for the kit or being the first in the forum to give it a try. If it don't work - back to 2 1/2 turns. Either way I'll post the results, dimensions and pics.

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
I hope that you're doing front and rear. It should be interesting to see, although I do wonder about the u-joints...

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
I really dont understand how that kit is any different then just turning in the bolts. Its still putting extra stiffness to the torsion which kills the ride quality and ball joints! Am I wrong?

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
I contacted Truxxx and talked in detail. They explained this kit is different and it does not apply more pressure on the torsion bars and stated the torsion bolts only get a slight tightening. The bracket shown in the photo is used on the stock shocks. It moves them into a different position to eliminate wearing.
Truxxx indicated they have installed similar kits without problems.
If they don't work you will see the kit on e-bay under "paper weights".

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
Hey check out this thread - I just posted an interesting article regarding tbars:
http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=18607
Worked for me and did speak with a few certified mechanics before tweaking them and all said the only thing that will happen to your H3 is a bumpy ride - but that's inevitable for any tweaks to your suspension.
Before tbar adjustment:
After adjustment:
After the tweak I can now fit LT315 75R16 MT/R with no problems at all:

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
Does the Truxx lift only do the front or is there something for the rear too?

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
Very nice ride Inked! And that is just the tortion bar adjustment - no lift kit?
Also, are those marker light grills on the side? If so, where did you snag those? Very cool!

Re: H3 Front Levelling Kit
I wasn't sure of the torsion bar tweak would result in that much lift. Yowsers! I'll have to do it!

I believe about 5 1/2 turns. I know some people think that's a bit crazy but like I said there are some misconceptions regarding adjusting the tbars. The biggest one was if I went off-roading the bar itself will break - well if you watch the video it did just fine.
