Question Have ?'s about my first H2

Hi!!! I just got my first Hummer this weekend. It's a petuer 03 H2 with only 56k miles. This is my first all wheel drive an not sure how to explain how it feels when turning the wheels sharp in forward or reverse. It feels like the front end is binding. Am I the only one or not? Thanks in advance.

Bulldog,

Welcome to the forum.

I would jack up the front of the truck. And shake the truck down. Odds are you have worn pitman and idler arms. They can make the truck feel like it is binding on sharp low speed turns if they are worn.

It also feel like you have your foot on the brakes when you turn sharp at low speed in forward an reverse.

If you're locked in 4 wheel drive thats what it will feel like, you might even feel the tires skip...

I tryed to lock the front and rear lockers but it would not lock in(the light blinks for a few sec. but will not stay on) could i have a problem with the 4WD shift motor? The 4hi light is the only light that stays on.

When you shift to lock you have to be in Nuetral....NOT in park.

I did have it in (N). I did find two c codes(c0306,co388) that is the problem with my servise 4wd being on. The ABS and T/C light was just a speed sensor.
