Default Durmax for H2 ?????

Does anyone know if they are going to release a H2 with the durmax for 07.
The H2 really need a diesel for pulling an loads over 4500 lbs. The H2 is a great but not enough torque for pulling heavy loads.

Ummm...I'm going to say no. My understanding is that the Allison required a fair amount of work to the transmission tunnel due to its size. I wouldn't hold my breath for a diesel H2 in the next day or two...especially given the fact that sales numbers have plummeted like a rock this last eight months.

Maybe that was the reason Hummer changed the floor pan on 06 year models?

I understand/heard that they'll be changing the Frame to the 9500 series on the H2 as well as the suburban so they could possibly/maybe get a duramax to fit, if they decide they actually want to do it. If they do, it won't be available until 2009 or 2010.

I'd like to see the Alpha H2 become a reality.

I'd have one today if the conversion was even close to affordable, I.E. I aint paying 45K for an engine and tranny out of a entire GM truck that costs 20K.

Cmon someone has to do it afforably.
