Default A different air suspension fault :)

So I've got the dreaded DIC 'service air suspension', but no sagging, no right or left side too far up or down.

Turn key on, both compressors cycle about 4 times, then they stop. Manual inflator in back doesn't work, and 'jack up the rear' button doesn't work.....but the darn thing is holding pressure just fine.

So it goes in tomorrow to spend $97.50 to have Dic code pulled. Wanted to buy a code reader but couldn't find anything under $1200 that will read codes....I'da gone 5 - 700 for one....but not that high!

Wish me good luck at the stealer ....

Answering my own post. Local GM dealer doesn't have the right techII package to read hummer suspension codes. I think at this point I'm just going to spring it. $100 and a 80 mile drive each way to get to a hummer dealer, just to have them read the code.

you can buy a tuner and pull codes from that...

fill out the info for your model, year
u7193 or a u7194 depending on the year of your H2.
on top of it, you can throw in a performance tune and get a little bit more performance from your H2.

This can read suspension codes? That would be awesome. I haven't found any that can read more than engine and transmission codes.

Its gone now. Air suspension is history, the strutmasters coils are in. Weren't all that hard. Truck sits pretty nice now.

Can you talk about how hard it was to do the Strutmasters? Is it DIY?

My 2003 H2 has finally decided it needs to rest on its haunches. LOL

Simple....even easier than the instructions as you can skip a step.

Jack truck up (frame) and put on stands. It has to be high enough have 2" clear space under the tires.

Depressurize bags (in my case, a pocket knife to the air bags).

Twist bags to unlock and drop. Toss as far as you can.

Remove bag lower mounts on axle (single bolt in each).

Remove lower shock mounting bolt on both sides, this will allow axle to drop an inch or so.

Stick new springs in....no pushing, there is lots of room once those shocks are disconnected.

Put your jack under the rear pumpkin and jack up enough to get the bolts back in the shocks..

Jack up, remove stands, drop it down, you're done. No need to remove tires, you can do this in less than an hour start to finish solo, a little faster if you have help.
