Interior Lighting Ideas?
No, this is not about putting Neon lights all over the place.
So, Now that I have all of the exterior lighting done (with the exception of lighting the underbody up where the wheels need to be placed when wheelin at night) I am looking to light up the interior floor boards for the front and back seats.
I'm thinking of red or black lighting that is used in some of the mobile command centers and special op's vehicles. Most use red from what I have seen.
Aynone else done this? Did you use tube lighting or led's? Did you wire into your headlight switch to come on auto as soon as your headlights turn on or a seperate switch.

Re: Interior Lighting Ideas?
I do this with all of my vehicles. I have a blue LED underneath the dash near both the driver's and passengers feet compartment. Just gives a cool blue glow underneath. Not too bright. Got the LED from radioshack. total investment about $8.
I wired it into the headlight switch.

Re: Interior Lighting Ideas?
huh huh huh... he said "mounted"... huh huh huh
basically they are just an LED lightbulb with 2 wires. I just ran the wires underneath the dash... then zip-ty'd the light so it didn't hang down in view.
I can try to take some pics... but not sure how well they will show up. I also have like 6 million pics on my camera that I have to upload to the computer.

Re: Interior Lighting Ideas?
Tim PM Dragon as he does this everyday almost to custom rides. It is a big part of what is done. He can answer any question You have.
He came up with the idea of taking a really tiny blue led and mounting it way back down in the AC vents where you get an erie glow coming out of every vent. We use blue only on the H2.
He knows inside outside neon or LED. Really Bud PM Dragon.
Hey also ask Him when is He going to finish all the neon and LED lights inside and outside on "The Beastly Beauty"

Re: Interior Lighting Ideas?
Red would look sweet! Do you have a part number on the Radioshack LED?
