Question Chrome Cover Accessories VS. Complete Accessories

My wife and I are new to Hummer H2 ownership. We just bought our first H2 a 2003 white Lux model. For years we have had suburbans, tahoes and GM pick-ups. Well, we are sold/converted. Absolutly love our Hummer. We appreciate this forum and appreciate the help we have received already. Thanks.

We are ready to start accessorising and would like opinions and experinces with the chrome accessories that are covers and install with the red 3M tape versus complete chrome stainless or billet replacement part. I have my thought, but thought before shelling out the extra dollars for solid replacement parts, I would see how happy folks are with the quality and durability of the tape on covers?

Would appreciate any and all experince and thoughts. Thanks all......

I personally rather replacing the part completely if I'm going to make an upgrade. The reason I feel this way is that the "tape on" parts are usually made from some thin cheap material. I didn't buy my H2 to cheap it up with a bunch of stick on nonsense. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash. Who wants to be replacing tape every six months or so anyway?

ABS plastic is "OK", it'll DO!!

Stainless I find is CHEAP and looks CHEAP!!

Can't go wrong with REAL CHROMED BILLET!!

I speak from experience as I've tried all 3(wasted $$ on 2) and eventually went with ONLY CHROMED BILLET!!

My 2cents!

Thanks gentlemen, that also was my thought, to stick with the real deal. Just the word (tape) scares me. I have visions of the hood grille coming loose at 70 mph and finding the windshield!
