Now did you start the engine to circulate the oil through the filter and then check levels again? I was just thinking that if yoiu didn't do so then you might have seen it full before that and not seen the .25-.5 of a quart lossed into the filter upon start up, as F5 stated, if you didnt check it again after initial start up. Maye it ran 6,000 miles or whatever a .25 quart low and you didnt realize it till you changed it.

Huck i never seen one of those before. do you use it? if you do do you get quite a bit back?
