Gentlemen,

I have a H2 all decked out running 37" MTR's on black powdercoated stock wheels.

Here is my dilema.....I want to go bigger, but don't want to go through the expense and pains of installing a "true" suspension lift. (Been there, done that on a previous vehicle).

I'm wanting to see if running 39"ish tires is doable. I know I will have to install 1/2 ton t-bar keys up front and do some cranking and will also level out the rear.....so my questions are these:

1. Is this possible to clear?

2. What all is needed to lift the rear w/ the air suspension?

Well you could probably clear it with the new t bars and such but if you are gonna take is offroad you will rub bad and possably start rippingc stuff on uneven surfaces. stick with the 37's your running bigger tires than any other truck out there with a 6 inch lift they all can only run 35's with a lift and always seemed to be amazed when i tell them im running 37's no lift.

I wheel mine often at the ORV park here in Hot Springs and don't have any rubbing issues when wheeling (other than the norm sway bar rub when turning left).

Thus, I think with the additional lift up front (from my proposed setup) that gaining an additional 1.5" to 2.0" or so would give me enough clearance to step up in tire size.

I dont know man have you ever put one wheel up on something. The rear gets stuffed up and starts making a weird cranking noise.

Duck I am running 37's as well. Bottom line is I would not attempt to run anything bigger because I tend to turn off the pavement alot and really tuck those tires into there wells. I do know that Rick Grucz who is a director of THCI is running 40's on his SUT. He cranked his torsion bars and made his own body lift. It seems to be working out well for him. However you really are going to lose alot more power if you run anything bigger than 37's.

That sounds sweet.....I wish the aftermarket would make a body lift kit. That would be a much better option versus cranking t-bars. Do you have pics of his setup? Or know of any way I could get in touch with him?

I agree power loss would be an issue, but I don't think it would be that drastic as long as I watch the weight of the "new" tires very carefully.
