Default Re: H2 PHOTSHOP with H1 Alpha Wheels

The H1 has the same bolt patter (8 on 6.5) but the inside center diameter of the wheel is different. I'm not sure about the backspacing. The Alpha wheels and tires with the runflat inside are CRAZY HEAVY! It is not recommended to run the wheel and tire without the runflat either because the runflat acts as the beadlock for the tire. No matter what, I'd recommend that you get a spare tire and wheel that you can actually lift. Older Dodge and Ford wheels will work in a pinch. (I found this out when I had two flat tires over Christmas while we were traveling out of state) Finding a tire shop that can change one when you're not near an official Hummer dealer is especially hard. It's very difficult and time consuming to pinch the runflat to get it out of the tire if you don't have the tools and I suspect most shops wouldn't even attemp it. (this is starting to sound depressing )

When you take an H2 wheel and put it on the H1, you have to machine the center of the wheel to get it to fit on the axel hub (I'm sorry if I haven't used the correct terminology) and the offset is different, which is not recommended for an H1 (at least it wasn't recommended to me by several different people). Since there are guys out there that put H2 wheels on, I'd ask them.

Anyway, I like the green color best.
