I have to agree with you that the diesel is a perfect application for the H2. I think if AMG would have produced the H2 without GMs oversight we'd have seen a diesel from them by now. As for power, I agree with everything said already, the '08s and up have much more power and tow easier, but if you like your truck do what you're going to be happy with! I plan on keeping my H2 a long time since they seem to be getting rarer and rarer on the roads these days. Cartype.com is saying GM is giving Tengzhong and AMG a hard time with engine and drivetrain delivery promises for future H2s because they don't want it competing with their Escalade and Tahoe.

I really like this H2 and the thought of buying a 2 year older truck and having to do the mods to bring the truck to my standards would be ridiculous.

I've found the parts I need and have already contacted Mash motorsports to make arrangements to get them the truck. I'll keep ya'll updated when something concrete comes about.
