Well I ordered the Rockford Fosgate sub upgrade for stock Nav systems from my dealer and I am gonna be the guinea pig. He cut me a small deal as long as I let him check it out and give him my opinion on whether he should sell these.
I don't think anyone else on here (or anywhere I have looked) has done this yet as it just came out from SMA.
I will post again when I get it and give it the full testing!

So is this kit JUST a sub/amp and front speakers?
What cost did the dealer give you?
I read MSRP would be around $998.00.

Thanks

it should be decent if you want simplicity.. but dont expect to bump around anywhere..
i started working sound systems on my 03 which was the first batch back in 03.. its not a very acustic vehicle.. it takes a lot to make stero sound good in there... but it was well worth it..
if you want nice clean bass you might wanna get dual jl audio 8in or 10in w3v2's under the rear seat.. jl is by far the cleanest sub.. not the loudest.. but very clean... you want loud. go KICKER..

DH22G, I've been planning to custom build dual 8" or 10" JL Audio subs. 8W3v2 need .33 cubic feet of space and 10W3v2 0.625 cu.ft. I think 8" would be setter since there would actually be enough room to for two subs. What kind of experience do you have. Is there enough room for two 10's?

like dh22g said, thats not really going to be thumpin. on that web site they said it had 150 watts. in a h2 i would look at 300-400 watts and a pair of 12s.

Yes hummbob it is the fronts, amp, and woofers(2). Well I will find out how it sounds and if it sucks I will return it. I got it for $850.00. I have fosgate in my cobra and they sound great so I am hoping since this is a h2 set up fosgate won't go cheap on us and will make this a decent product...We will soon find out.

Wow! That JL sub looks cool and they do make great products. Timco do you know how much they want for that? But you do have to wire your own amp so not really plug and play. Anyway looks like I am a first and Hope mine gets here soon so I can report.....

The JL Audio Stealth sub is about $750 and then you need an amp to run it. It does look GREAT installed and sounds great as well. After searching for alternatives I decided to go this route. I will be ordering it in the next few weeks. If anyone has a avenue for better pricing please let me know!!!

Let us know how it sounds...i have a kicker 10in L7 that ill be installing sometime soon. I just dont know if i want to do one or two or if im going to spend too much money and get a sweet fiberglass box that will free up my cargo space or do a more traditional box. Ill take pictures when i decide what im going to do.

Thanks </div></BLOCKQUOTE>just looked at the add. i cant see it sounding any good its only 150watts for 4 doors and a 10" sub. the sub alone should have at least 150watts. way better off with the JL stealth kit IMO.

Well as luck would have it...My dealer called today and said SMA did not have the fosgate stuff in stock and had no real idea of when it would be available.
So i cancelled my order and I think I will go with the JL set up. Looks sweet and hope someone on here has this setup so they can attest to it. (debest have you heard the JL and if so what amp did they run?)
Anyone Know a good/affordable amp to run this puppy? And do you just buy the factory wiring harness kit to install the amp?
And where do I buy the stealth kit? No online ordering I see.

I was told be the VP of Sales at SMA that the kit will be avail. in March. I personally do not think its worth purchasing. 150 watts and you have to pay over a grand plus install. on my last truck i had about 600-750watts, sub and custom box for $550. if i was going to do the door speakers it would have been another $150.
