DETROIT -- General Motors has named Megan Stooke as director of marketing for Hummer.
Stooke, 38, replaces Liz Vanzura, who became global director of marketing for Cadillac on Feb. 1.
Stooke was director of advertising and sales promotion for Chevrolet. Her replacement will be named later.
While at Chevy, Stooke oversaw day-to-day activities on several key launches, including the new Tahoe SUV and the HHR.
Stooke will report to Martin Walsh, divisional general manager for Hummer. The new assignment took effect Wednesday, March 1, a GM spokeswoman says.
An Australian citizen, Stooke began her career with GM Holden, GM's Australian unit, in 1995. She joined Chevrolet in North America last May.
Before joining GM Holden, Stooke spent six years with Kraft Foods Australia in marketing and sales roles.
