looking to upgradefrom h2 and have a question

i have a 2003 h2, but i am thinking of making the big step.
i know that the early model h1 had some issues (leaks and cracked blocks, etc...), but what are the issue with the later models (2001+?)

what should i look out for when it comes to buying one and hopefully it being a reliable transport along with a go any where vehicle

Not any real issues with the 2001 and up but if $'s are not an issue I would focus my search on an '04 or '06. Past maintenance history is the key! The H1 is not an inexpensive vehicle if you plan on making it a daily driver. One of the best H1 forums is hummernetworkforums.com so go there and register and ask the same question. Very knowledgable owners and will help in finding the right truck.

I don't believe many people do enough research before they ask this question, H1 is a compromise vehicle, you get the abilities, but it costs you tons of money to keep them running, and unless you get an 04/06, highway speeds mean about 70 depending on configuration.
You either have to have a lot of money, or either be very mechanically inclined and have a lot of time and again, money.
