I am thinking of getting one of these AM General products. My rig is getting a little too small to ride around in.

With you being from Cali, you don't know how funny that sounds. You bought your own 6X6 fire truck to make sure the fires don't get the ranch?
Do you have the 5 ton or 2.5 ton? Who is the manufacturer Kaiser or AM General or one of the others? Does yours have the winch on it?

Its been sitting in the used/broken farm equipment yard for about 20 yrs now actually along with a few willys, chevies, fords and tons of other tractors and crap. It was one of the original firetrucks in the valley up there. Its the 5 ton. Last I recall when I was tromping through all the old broken junk I seem to recall the kaiser name.
I have to go back up there next week and will get some pics of the farmyard vehicle cemetary.

I think one of those would be better for my commute to work, its less likly to get bothered in the parking lot, and will never be lost in a crowd.

That's the kind of rig I need to drive around in Phoenix, they keep trying to run me off of the road in my H2, I guess the Sunset Orange does not stand out in traffic.

I don't think it has anytrhing to do with your H2, everybody just drives like a fool in Phoenix. Hell I usually drive an F-250 or a Merc E500 when I am there and they try to kill me all day long.

I don't like gamagoats. I want a 5 ton 6x6 with the big hydraulic winch. I got some playing I need to do with it. And for 4 or 5K and another 1K to fix up, they make a very cool toy to play with.

There's a local outdoor outfitters here called JAXX that usually has 2 or 3 - 6x6 5 tons for sale. Sometimes it's the 2.5 ton they have, but still with the 5 ton hood, etc. They cycle through several in a few month period. Most of them get sold to back water places up in Wyoming for use on farms or real cheapo firetrucks.
