Default H2 Fuel filter replacement?

Dealer said it wasn't necessary to replace them on the H2. Is this true?

If I am suppose to replace it, at what interval?

No, that's not true. I do mine at roughly every 40K miles depending on how much dust and dirt I've been through.... how much dirt I've been through

It's really easy to change on your own. It's on the driver's side frame rail. You'll need a couple of wrenches and a towel.

Depending on what model year you own. 2004 and up model years the fuel filter is in the tank and is not serviced.
