Default Fire Extinguisher Mount?

Anyone found a good place for fire extinguisher mount? I looked at the rear quarter panels in the cargo area but they are hollow where you would need to attach bracket. I could take them apart and install a backer plate unless someone else had a alternate location.

That was an option also. I'd like to have it out in the open for easy access in case of a flash fire.

I've been thinking about that too.

If the extinguisher's small enough (like the OBX ones on ebay), you might be able to mount it next to the driver seat. Here's a pic showing the gap between the seat and door where I installed my maglite.

Luv your idea on the maglite, I just installed one in mine the same way. Better than letting it rattle around in the glove box.

I am gearing my H3 up for an upcoming trip. I have a great list of necessities from another Hummer club, but I was wondering, what size fire extinguisher and what type? Is it the "ABC" fire extinguisher?

I wrapped mine in a towel and wedged it in next to the jack.

My Touareg had a place provided to stand one with velcro strips to hold it snug in a storage area in the rear. You had to provide your own extinguisher.

Mounted mine in the rear passenger side on top of side stow. Used big self tapping screws but togglers would work as well. Was too lazy to pull off the side panel and bolt in...

Mine's fitted in on the floor in front of the drivers seat... was already dealer installed when I bought the truck it allows for the seat to go in its full forward position without (MrsJFF is kinda little, so needs to move the seat on the odd occasion she drives the truck) - was a real pain in the a$$ at first and I was gonna move it, kept kicking it every time I got in or out ... couldn't think of anywhere better to put it where I could get at it easily, so left it where it is... used to it now and it doesn't get a kick as often!!!

Wisha Haddan H3 - love the Maglite install

Cheers
JFF

Look at the Seat Brackets where they bolt too the floor, drivers side. Maybe you could make some adapters that bolt too them and that way they are ready for any incidents.

I have them on my Road Car like that.

Im gonna look into this myself
