Steering Upgrade?Need Advice Please
Hello Everyone,
I'm lookin' and correct that little jerkyness that happens to my 2003 h2 w/ 78,000 miles on it. Also the vehicle does NOT go off roading..strictly country road drivin' I did a search before lookin' into this subject and needed some more info./advice before making a decision.
Should I buy Cognita kit and maintain stock idler/pitarm?
Just replace idler/pitarm?
Upgrade Tierods and Cognita Kit while maintaining stock idler/pitarm?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

Re: Steering Upgrade?Need Advice Please
What jerkiness do you mean? Does your steering wheel wobble back and forth at certain speeds? If so then your problem is probably the steering stabilizer. This is just a horizontal shock absorber that is mounted to your center link.
If you are feeling a vibration, then it will likely be tire balance related.
If your truck is strictly on-road, then you probably do not need to upgrade a lot of parts. If your tie rod ends are worn out, then replace them, but you probably don't need to beef anything else up.
Of course, if you want to, then go for it!

Tail light guards - still chrome but will be black bedliner

Hmmmm, is there a pattern developing here?

It a more like play in the steering wheel while turning as well as driving on a smooth paved road. Tires are in great shape still the oem rims/tires. I'm about to do a brake rotor/pad job very soon does that have anything to do with this play?
Thank you again for the replies

No, brakes are not going to have anything to do with play in the steering wheel. No offense, but it sounds like maybe you are not really familiar with steering parts? If so, I would really recommend having the front end checked out by someone who knows what they are looking at so you will know exactly what condition your front end is in. Sounds like it needs a good "shake down." You don't want to start replacing a bunch of parts that don't need to be replaced. JMHO.
