They lock in place at only certain locations. Once locked, they shouldn't move.

You have to look in the track for a notch about 1 inch , there are several running down the track. Line up with it they should be snug .

Re: Roof crossbows rattling/moving
Hey Rhino,
Did you figure this problem out? I have mine arriving tonight and I want to avoid the same problem.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Roof crossbows rattling/moving
No they still move back and forth around 1" on each side. They seem to lock down tight in the right spot then after a few days loosen back up. Maybe I got a bad set.

Rhino...I'm having the same problem you describe.Even when the sliders are locked in the rail notches, there is some play there.I can't say that I have an inch of play, but there is some play there. In my opinion it's just a cheap design for such a good vehicle.

Re: Roof crossbows rattling/moving
I can verify I do not have that problem, if anything they are hard to move when unlocked. I would take it to the dealer, they are not supposed to move after being locked in place.

I would have to say this is my experience with them too.

Ditto. You can always use blue locktight if they annoy you enough.
