mystery wires
on my 2007 h3 there are three separate sets of wires coming off of the main wiring harness from the fire wall that are taped off and go no place.Does any one know what they are for,and where they go ? I am planning on putting some lights on the brush guard and was wondering if they ran to the factory spots on the dash for dealer installed lights.

Re: mystery wires
There are wires there you can tap into...
Use the search pull down try entering lights or lamps and see what you find

We were just talking about this at work today.
CUT THE RED WIRE!
Have you ever noticed which wire they cut in the movies when defusing a bomb?
It's always the red one.
Don't "F" with the blue wire.

Re: mystery wires
What colors are they? There's a couple different things they could be. One bundle that I know of is for trailer brakes.

Re: mystery wires
The wires nearest the accelerator pedal are for a brake controller. The wires near the e-brake are for the roof mounted and lower grill mounted off-road lights.

Re: mystery wires
They are the other ends of the wires for the offroad lights. I have installed both the upper and lower offroad lights. These wires just go through the fire wall. When you install the stock offroad lights the harness that goes to the lights and fuse box connect to the wires under the hood and the switches hook to the other ends of these wires under the dash.
