I'm looking for a bit of advice, as I'm shopping for some new wheels for my SUT. The brands I'm looking at are Weld, KMC, and Helo. What's your opinion on these brands, i.e., is one better than the other, or are they all close to equal in build quality? Any strong feelings you have that would lead me in another direction?

Secondly, I'm trying to decide between 18" and 20". Is there any off-road performance differences that I should be concerned with? I won't be doing any rock-crawling, and will be limiting myself to light-duty off-roading and muddin'.

I did search the forums, but came up dry. Please feel free to link me up to any previous such discussions, and flame me in the process for being so inept.

Thanks,

Pete

Thanks Seth, I was leaning towards 18s for that very reason. And I may just take you up on that offer for the mud. I've been asking around here, trying to find a good place to play. I know there has to be a place somewhere close, but haven't found it yet. All of my previous muddin' since moving from Louisiana has been on my previous duck and goose leases.

I love the Weld Evo's---great chrome--forged--five year warranty.

Make sure you get a forged wheel, not cast.

I like my WELD EVO Velocity 8's. They happen to be the same size as the OEM. 17x8.5
I haven't had any problems with them, and have beat them up pretty well, and they still look good!
They come with both a chrome, and structure warranty. You wouldn't be dissapointed!

Good luck!

Thanks guys and gals. I'm definitely leaning toward Weld wheels. They've been around for a long time, and have a great reputation.
