anyone else have this problem mine is off to the left by a few centimeters also i can move the wheel alot before the wheels move

Did you have a FE Alignment done recently?
been off-roading or hit any curbs hard?

Is this a new rig and it has always been like this? If this is true it may be your idler/ pitman arm going bad or something along those lines.

Mine has been off to the left slightly since new but doesn't pull one way or the other so never worried about it. It's alignment or bad steering part problem. I would have it checked because of the slop in the steering you mentioned.

Yes, this has been discussed before. The steering shaft comes out tilted toward the driver's side door. Go check your other GM trucks and I bet they do the same. Both my Tahoes had it and so did a car or two.

Someone here must have and explaination as to why it is like that.
