I did it. It was quite self-explanatory and easy. Take a look and you'll see that it is attached by nuts and bolts. Remove the license plate light from it's resting place. Detach the rubber bumper pad. Remove the tow hook. Voila. Did you damage the plastic corner fender beneath the rear light? I learned the hard way that the two pieces remove as one and comes as one. I now have a wide angle lens (as opposed to rear camera) on the rear window to hopefully prevent future mishaps. Good luck.
