Default I-80 through Chicago

Any Chicago people here that can tell me how traffic is on westbound I-80, 3-4:00 PM, weekday (Wednesday to be specific)? Should I take the route 30 bypass, or take my chances on I-80?

I know Highway 30/34/92 from Chicago is a short cut but I rather take I-80 or 88, just because you can go a little faster during that time (3-4) and there are no stop lights.

WTF

I-88 is about 25 miles north of I-80 you must like the scenic route.

Yes, I-88 is a little farther north than Highway 30 or I-80/55. What I was trying to say was 88 is just an alternate route from Chicago to Moline where 88 and 80 meet.

Yeah, too bad he's gone already. I-80 was a complete mess when I went through there at 2am on the way to South Bend. At least I think it was 80. Maybe it was 94...
