I have that rack and I like it. I't nowhere as slick looking as a Gobi, but it's much less expensive and for what I need it for it does great. One other thing I really like is that it is high enough that I can strap my awning to it, extend it over the back and the awning material doesnt hit the top of my rear door when it is open

cheaper than a GOBI?? how can that be? looks like a solid rack (yeah, I said it) I have been looking at this one for a while- good to hear some positive feedback on it. Do you have a sunroof? interference? you do not need stock roof rails with this unit, correct?

Hey man do you know if the 50x84 will fit right. I dont have a sun roof but want it that big so I could sleep up top when out camping and also it will look better witht the offroad light mounted closer to the front of the truck...

I dont have a sunroof but with the rack I have (the smaller one- 50x60 or whatever) I cant see it being a problem. Nope- no roof racks needed!!!

The 50x84 should not be a problem. I just took a tape measure to mine and I'm kinda thinking I would like that size better. I didnt know they were available that large. I got mine back in November 2005 or so.

As for sleeping on it, I wouldnt hesitate and it would actually be pretty freakin cool! I would do it in a heartbeat but then again you might be one big Marine- I'm not...

Thanks for your service BTW!!!

I am runing the Surco Roof Basket Rack on my H2 and I like it. It is very light weight and easy to put togather and install.

Most of the other companies (besides Gobi) don't have front mounts for racks that large. They only have mounts that will fit into the rails.

It would have been nice if GM designed the H3's rails the same as the H2's where they go all the way to the front.
