The first is just a shadow projecting from the contrails. The next two are of the same phenomena, not sure which Ice Halo we're looking at though... http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halosim.htm

Being farther up North, we get AWESOME Nothern Lights (aurora borealis). I remember once when I was younger, me and a few buddies dropped mushrooms and stared into the sky for like HOURS! Good Times

man, bob, those are killer shots of the northern lights. are they really northern, so you southernish cali/texas/south folks don't get to see them?
