Default how to get more horsepower???

so, without going through a motor swap, what would be the best method to get more HP from a '03 LQ4 motor thats stock in the H2?

i have heard of doing the L92 heads, and cam swap to get in the ballpark of 500+ HP.
will the stock tranny and T-case hold up to this power?

anyways, tell me what you guys think. i think i would like to shoot for the 500HP area.

With a heavy rig like an H2 you want to be concious of your power curve vs. an ultimate HP number. Having 500 HP is great but if it only makes big power at 6K rpm then it will be useless to you. You will need to keep torque in mind since that is what is ultimately going to get a 6000+lb truck rolling. I would talk to a respected tuner in your area that does engine building, you will likely need a custom spec'd cam and head work that concentrates on low end grunt. You could also look at options such as a maggie charger, the roots blower design is very good for low end power.

Good Luck

Mark (orange crush) has a smokin deal on a supercharger right now. I would trust buying anything from him because his installs are always top notch and he is very mantainance conscious. Look in the For Sale section and give him a shout.
