I went to go home today and my 2003 wouldnt start, everything works it just wont turn over. I tried jumping it and i changed the battery which turned out to be shot and it still wont start. From what i read i think its the ignition switch but any more info would be great. Thanks Alex

I'll leave the squid out of this one.
From this thread I found:

It actually ended up being something quite simple. It seems that the key switch wasn't providing power to ALL systems. They replaced the switch and everything was ok.
Then, Hendrick Chevrolet Hummer of Cary North Carolina, covered the towing, rental car, and the replacement under warrenty (without the normal $50.00 deductable even!) If anyone in this area is considering a Hummer I would highly recommend these guys! There service department has been a real joy to work with!

My key switch did the same thing a year ago. There is a TSB on the issue, I guess this problem happens offen. Glad thay fixed it fast for you! BIG-C

If there's a TSB on it, you may have it replaced under warranty since GM knows it's a problem.

I think mine is out of warranty it only has 27k miles but it is past 36 months. Also can any gm dealer fix it or should i bring it to a hummer dealer. I figured i would start with the ignition anyways, i just need to know where it is.

Hey Alex - Sorry I missed your earlier posts, but I see you fixed the problem!
Actually, I used to have access to the latest GM TSBs, but GM changed the way they send out their info. There are a few people on the forum that work at dealerships (partsguy is one) that can give you current info.
Anyway, glad to see you got your truck fixed.

When you feel that way about this forum, you're hooked. Your brain cells will start to deplete, etc....
