Anyone have any experiences with Mexican gas in your H2?

I am planning a trip to Guadalupe Canyon (Its a great place to visit, need 4x4 to get there, many hot springs and caves to explore..) outside of Tecate and was wondering if octane booster is needed....?

I would like to get a an H2 event going out there......

Hart1, have been down to San Felipe for the 250, and purchased a number of tanks in San Felipe....no problems. Did not use any octane booster...That is my only experience though, and haven't had H2 anywhere else in MX, although many of the guys that I went with are long time desert rats, and have been buying gas throughout MX for many many years, and never mentioned any problems.

Hope you have a great trip and let us all know how it went.

I had Taco Bell last night and I've been experiencing some Mexican gas in my H2 this morning. Very unfriendly gas.

Filled up a little while ago.
Their gas is fine, but the water is bad. Sounds like a great trip. Make sure to share the photos with us.

I have used it many times, and believe it or not I think that it runs better than the gas from north of the border. It's expensive too. You think that its a bargain until you realize that the price is per litre not gallon.

But the gasoline sure does make your exhaust stink!
