New member from Florida
Hello, My name is Hale. I live in Fort Lauderdale. This is my second H2...First was a 2003 this is a 2007, both Adventure Series. With the exception of the wheels, they look the same. I opted to remove my rear spare tire carrier from the rear ( I like the look better). I chose not to use the tag relocator kit and instead bought a 2003 tag holder for the rear door, replaced the existing blank pocket and wired the lights into the cab lights on the rear hatch...took all of about an hour and about $300.00 in parts...dealer wanted to charge $900.00.
I chose to black out as much as I could on the truck, except the wheels of course, although the chrome accessories look nice on most trucks I like all black, I just have to figure out how to black out the mirror backside. Any ideas...let me know!!!
Anyway here are a few pics and if anyone knows of any hummer events in South Florida please email me to let me know....

Re: New member from Florida
Welcome and nice! Looks a little like mine. Let me know if you do anything to the mirrors, I have some things I'm going to see about to de-chrome them.

For blacking out the mirrors (and H2 emblems), mask them thoroughly after lightly sanding. Then just use a flat black. I used DupliColor Spray On Bedliner because it has a textured surface.

Re: New member from Florida
Thanks for the compliments...
Tint is 20%.
Not selling the tire rack.
I took the brush guards off because I didn't like the way they looked.
I have only had it a week...haven't been off road...YET.
Not sure what the drop is on the receiver.
I do plan on getting rid of the chrome on the mirror...don't want to spray paint it though.

The bed liner works great.
Or you can pop off the chrome part and take it to Line-X and they can charge you some bucks to do the samething.

Re: New member from Florida
Spray paint and line-x is too ghetto! I was thinking something more like stripping the chrome off it, then powder coating it black. Like what I plan to do to the fuel door. Unless that part on the mirrors is actually plastic... then I'll just ask the powder coaters what they suggest.

On the '07s?! Doesn't feel like plastic. Well, you can always have a new set made on a CNC, then powder coat it.
